Petey is 3 years old. He has chronic ear infections and is quite overweight. He has lost 3 pounds so far, but needs to lose 9 more.
Petey is very friendly and loves to eat. He begs at the table for scraps - probably why he was so overweight when he came to rescue.
Petey is very sweet natured and seems to bond quickly. He loves butt scratches and having his ears rubbed. He’s a bit of a nibbler. Likes chewing on paper, book corners, and sticking his head in every trash container exploring.
Petey would be great in a family with kids (age 8- teens) as long as they are not too busy with extracurricular activities. He’s very affectionate and busy and energetic. He would be good with someone who wants to try performance events: Rally, obedience, something to give him a job and a bonding experience.
