Hi. I came to rescue in December. I just turned 3 and the vet said I am healthy. I am recovering from my spay well. I love to jump up on the couch and sit in my fosters lap pretty much all the time.
I still pull on a leash and love to go for walks. I love the outside so much that I have a tendency to go outside before they have me on a leash. So I’ll need a big fenced yard to run in and someone who has a lot of experience with dogs. Oh, and when I’m outside, I love to dig. A lot. So I’ll need someone to watch me when I’m outside so I don’t make a hole big enough to get away. So that means you can’t have a doggie door.
I get along with other dogs and with humans large and small. I’ve never been with a cat, so I’m not sure about them. I came in to rescue at a healthy 26 pounds. That’s a bit big for a Cavalier so right now I’m on a bit of a diet. My foster mom says the only treats I can have are green beans. So it’s a good thing I like them. I’m down to 21 pounds now. But my forever family will have to work to get me to my ideal weight because Cavaliers should not carry extra pounds.
I’m being fostered in the Virginia Beach, Virginia area so you must live within a 2 hour drive of there to be considered for adoption. And don’t forget I need a fenced yard. I look forward to meeting you soon.
