Hi! My name is Denni, and I’m a sweet 12-year-old Cavalier dreaming of finding someone to love me and a cozy lap to cuddle on. Despite being a senior, I still enjoy playing with my foster siblings—though my favorite activity is snuggling in a warm lap. My foster mom says I’m the perfect size for cuddles since I’m a little smaller than most of my siblings. I’m quite expressive when I need something, like wanting to leave my crate, and I’m excellent at sounding the alarm when strangers appear—until I’ve given them a quick sniff to confirm they’re friendly.
I’m a loyal companion who loves to follow my foster mom and always prefers to have someone in sight. When my foster humans are away, I settle down nicely in my crate, and I sleep peacefully in my crate at night beside my foster sister, who has hers nearby. But my dream is to have a big soft bed where I can sleep thought the night with my forever Mom.
I’m adaptable and can thrive as either an only dog or in a family with other dogs. I’m looking for a home where my humans can be with me most of the time since I feel anxious traveling in my crate unless I have a human riding beside me. As an older girl, I don’t walk much and may need to go outside a bit more often, but I’m housebroken and sleep soundly through the night. Mealtime is one of my favorite moments, and I happily eat in my crate.
