Hello I'm Hannah. I am 10 years old and I can’t wait to find my forever home. I like other dogs but I would also be happy as an only dog. I am shy of new people and bark at strangers. I prefer women – I'm afraid of men, but I might be won over if the right guy was soft spoken and kind. I warm up quickly and a little patience goes a long way. At first, I was shy of my foster Mom, but now I WANT to snuggle! Now I follow her into every room and lay close by.
I love meal time and I am great at leash walking. We go for walks several times a day and I always go outside to potty. I know how to sit and if you wave at me and say come I’ll be right at your side – looking for a treat! I sleep in a crate at night with my special blanket. I'm a good sleeper but I love to nap on the bed!
I am an older gal so I have a few medical issues. You may notice cloudiness in my left eye - no worries - it’s a cataract and my vet says my eye pressure is good and I’m not in pain. I may not be able to see well in that eye but it doesn't stop me from being a normal dog and run and play with my friends. I also have a heart murmur that does not require medications at this time. I am on the older side but I still have some years to give to a good family. I walk slower and don't need a lot of toys to play with and even though I only have a few good teeth left I love to chew on bones and I like bath time. Thanks for reading about me. I'm looking forward to meeting my new Mom soon!
You must live in the Mid South to be considered for Hannah (preferably Tennessee, western North Carolina or northern Georgia) since we require "meet and greets" at the foster's home and the potential adopter's home.
