Shy in Southeast

Hi! My Name Is Shy in Southeast

We're happy to tell you that Shy in Southeast has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Shy came to Rescue as a “bit of a chunk” – she weighed over 40 lbs.!  While she is a bigger boned girl (and definitely a Cavalier), she was carrying way too much weight along with ear infections and an apparently chronic UTI.  During the several months in foster, she has flourished.  The foster has two children who absolutely adore her – and as a result of Shy living with them have become better in picking up their things!  You see, Shy tends to like plastic and paper items!  Fortunately, those are quickly replaced with a toy just for the purpose of chewing!  Shy has become more active – the foster also has two other dogs – as she runs and plays outside with the dogs and the children.  She also can actually jump off the floor – all 4 feet at the same time!!  Through the diligence of the foster, Shy has now lost over 10 lbs., ear infections are gone, along with the UTI situation.  She loves people, she’s good with other dogs, and all around a delightful girl!
